How we use AI

The Daily Brief and the Deep Dives are researched and drafted by AI routines that run each morning and publish automatically. Each one ends with a short line saying so.

  • The routines work from primary sources: release notes, papers, repositories and official documentation.
  • Every story in the brief links to where it came from.
  • Before a brief is published, a second AI agent that didn't write it re-checks each main story's numbers, dates and release status against the source, and keeps a record of what it checked. Deep Dives are checked by the routine that writes them. No person reviews posts before they go out.
  • A day with nothing worth your time in a section stays empty rather than being filled.

AI can still get things wrong, so check anything important at the source before you rely on it. If you spot a mistake, tell me and it will be corrected. Every fix is dated on the post and listed on thecorrections page.

Daily Briefs are marked so search engines don't index them, because they mostly point to other people's work. Deep Dives are indexed.

These posts are for learning, and they never go out in the newsletter.

Posts in Writing and Projects are written by me. The newsletter only carries my own writing.

Opinions

Everything here is my personal view. It doesn't represent any employer, past or present.

Advertising

The site may show ads from Google AdSense. Ads are clearly separate from the posts, and they never influence what is written or which sources are used. See the privacy page for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.

Affiliate links and sponsorships

There are none right now. If that ever changes, affiliate links and sponsored content will be clearly marked where they appear, and listed on this page.
