Privacy

Last updated: 13 October 2026.

The short version: the site collects very little. It does not sell your data. It may show ads from Google AdSense, and if it does, Google and its partners use cookies for that, as explained below.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

The Voyager may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners show ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visitingGoogle Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising ataboutads.info. See alsohow Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and Switzerland), you are asked for your consent before advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice later. Ads are never placed in the newsletter.

Analytics

No analytics are running yet. If that changes, it will be privacy-friendly, cookie-free page counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics), and this page will say so.

Newsletter

The sign-up form is an embedded form from Substack. If you subscribe, Substack stores your email address and handles sending the newsletter, underSubstack's privacy policy. You can unsubscribe from any email. The newsletter lives at voyager2050.substack.com.

Your browser

If you pick light or dark mode with the theme button, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
